The Joslyn Jammers meets every Thursday for a fun song circle at the Joslyn Senior Center from 10am to noon. Led by David Hostetler, this is a warm and welcoming group that takes music seriously, but not themselves. I stumbled on this group several years when I was learning to play guitar and they were so friendly, inviting me to collaborate on some other events that gave me my first performance exposure and got me hooked!
Congratulations to KSPC for their 25th anniversary of streaming online, beginning on February 17, 2000! I enjoy checking in on the eclectic variety of shows during my workday, with Tom Skelly's Sound of Pictures being a favorite. He covers music featured in cinema and it provides a fun perspective on how the sounds related to the scene or larger theme of the movie.
AnaMaria De La Cruz is offering Sound Healing and Songwriting for All classes at the Alexander Hughes Community Center. AnaMaria is a recording artist, teacher, and local musician familiar to many in the Claremont music scene. She frequently performs at public events like Friday Nights Live and the Day of the Dead festival.
